The field of metrology is one that is depended upon by many industries, however it is taught by relatively few universities.  Digital Metrology Solutions is, first and foremost, committed to the application of metrology and in doing so it is committed to educating the users of metrology.  The educated customer is one of the metrology community's greatest assets.

Mitutoyo Institute of Metrology

Digital Metrology Solutions is currently providing surface metrology training within the Mitutoyo Institute of Metrology.  The course is titled "Surface Roughness and Roundness Made Easy" and it provides a very gentle introduction to these important topics within the field of surface metrology.  Several "hands on" exhibits are used along with live analysis of measured data.  The attendee will walk away with a basic understanding of the product and process implications of surfaces as well as the fundamentals of measurement and specification.
